| New legal structure On September 02, KUHNKE announced a new legal structure under the umbrella of Kuhnke AG. The former business units have been changed into Kuhnke Automotive, Kuhnke Automation, Kuhnke Supply Chain and Kuhnke Support, all of them GmbH & Co. KG. The Kuhnke family will retain the shares in Kuhnke AG, which will not be traded on the stock market. The Executive Board of Kuhnke AG consists of the former managing directors, Dr. Wolfgang Setzer (CEO) and Gerd Klindt. The individual companies can now respond faster and more effectively to changes in the market. “We are creating a robust and flexible corporate structure to benefit from global growth opportunities – and this with lower business risk.” With this structure Kuhnke responds to continued globalization of its core customers, above all in the automotive sector, and extended networking of sales and manufacturing with appropriate alliance partners. No restructuring measures are planned with the change in legal structure and employees retain their acquired status. The new structure strengthens KUHNKE as a company and assures Malente’s future as a location. The individual operating companies of Kuhnke AG develop, produce and sell products and services for automotive customers, machine builders and medical equipment manufacturers. Some 990 employees - of them 550 at the headquarters in Malente - work for the Kuhnke AG companies in Malente, Sibiu and Limena, as well as for the KUHNKE international sales organization.
